Laborer is a generic name in Banished for workers who do not have a set Profession. They carry out menial tasks such as clearing trees and carrying logs to storage as well as moving resources from one location to another. Laborers are vitally important to the success of any village.
The total number of Laborers can be see in the top left of the Professions menu. The number of citizens acting as Laborers, however, may be greater than the number shown, as workers without current tasks (such as Farmers in winter) will behave as though they are a Laborer.
Laborer Tasks
- Clearing the terrain of trees, rocks and iron
- Carrying raw materials to storage
- Carrying raw materials from storage to construction sites
