The town hall is an administrative building in Banished.

Once a town hall is placed, records and ledgers of the towns status are available. You can see population, resource amounts, food reserves, and other population data as it changes over 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, or 100 years. You can also see current information as well as citizen jobs, health, happiness, education, food production etc. Town hall can also be used to accept or deny citizenship on nomads that arrive at random periods of time. Their numbers depend of the current population of the city (can be from 10-30% of current population) . Accepting nomads can boost the city with extra working hands if the city can provide for accommodation and necessities. Nomads have a chance to carry diseases that may actually hurt the current population if not having enough herbs or medical clinic available. The Town Hall requires no citizens to staff it
Pastures are used to produce livestock. Livestock can be spread between pastures to increase their numbers and productivity. Livestock may include:
* Cattle -- Used to produce Leather, and Beef as a source of food.
* Sheep -- Used to produce Wool, and Mutton as a source of food.
* Chickens -- Used to produce both Chicken and Eggs as a source of food.

Note that the only way to initially obtain livestock on (Medium and Hard)is through trading at the Trading Post. In Easy difficulty, you begin with livestock. Beware that custom orders of goods tend to be more expensive than regular goods brought by the trader.

The pasture limits are 20 tiles per cow, 16 per sheep and 6 per chicken.

If you want 14 sheep then you need 224 tiles (14 sheep * 16 tiles/sheep)

It should also be noted that pastures can become infested, during which your livestock will be slowly killed until the pasture is emptied. If a pasture becomes infested, it is recommended you build a small pasture to house some backup livestock. Once your main pasture is emptied, the infestation disappears.

Efficiency
You'll see the best efficiency of the pens in the table bellow. Note that the optimal size of the pens for cattles and sheep are the biggest possible pens with 2 herdsman. The 10x20 pen is the least efficient because you can only hold 1 more cattle than the biggest pen for 1 herdsman. The table below shows the best and worst possible grids per herdsman composition.

Citizens who work in hunting cabins will hunt for deer in forests, producing venison, which is a source of food. It can be vital in the early stages of the game to feed the population before the player has acquired seeds for farming.

Overhunting does not occur. See Tips#A few common myths debunked.

Hunting Cabin
Hunting Cabin
Hunting only occurs within a specified radius around the hunting cabin. Therefore, hunting is most effective when the cabin is placed away from the main part of a village as deer tend to avoid more populated areas. The hunting cabin can support up to 3 hunters, but only requires 1 to function.
