Any number of unpleasant fates can strike the citizens of a town in Banished. "Disasters," however, refers to specific group of unpleasant occurrences. When creating a new game, you have the option to turn disasters on or off. This option will affect items listed as "Disasters" below, but will have no affect on "Non-Disasters."
Disasters
- Tornadoes
- Fire
- Pest infestation of fields and orchards
- The ability of livestock to develop diseases.
Non-Disasters
- Starvation
- Hypothermia
- Disease outbreaks among citizens
- Harsh winters and dry summers
- Work related accidents
